Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter melted (8 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup flour

For the topping

  • 2 apples
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 sugar
  • 1 tsp cinammon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 390o F. 
  2. Grease the bottom and sides of a baking pan.
  3. Peel the apples and remove the cores. Cut them into rings and place in the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add the hazelnuts.
  5. In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon and sprinkle the mixture over the apples. 
  6. In a large bowl, using a mixer, put the butter and the sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add the eggs, flour, milk, baking soda, and baking powder, and stir until everything is combined. 
  7. Put the cake mixture over the apples and bake for 40 minutes, until golden brown.
