INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1 cup celery, sliced thin 
  • 1 box/ 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt 
  • 1 bag wide egg noodles 
  • 2-3 cups shredded cooked chicken ( breast or thighs) 
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large pan boil the chicken- you can cut the chicken in small pieces. Add the carrots and the celery and boil for 15- 20′. 
  2. In another pot add all the remaining ingredients and 4 cups of water and boil for 10′. Add the chicken, carrots and celery plus the broth and cook for 5-6 more minutes.
